Bad fuel? Maybe carbon build up? But you don't have many miles. I would throw in some new spark plugs and see how she drives. Maybe your clutch is slipping?

Why don't you put it on a dynometer, and see for yourself exact power figures. If it is down on power the investigate why.
If its not down in power, you'll find yourself attempting to diagnose something that doesn't even exist. |

Had an experience with power loss on mine but it was after I heard a pop when accelerating. When I first checked under the hood for the charge pipe, all seem ok. After a second look, it actually cracked near the clip. There were no codes at all. Took it to the dealer and told them about the charge pipe. First they said its fine, I told them where it cracked and they confirmed it. Perhaps, it cracked near the clip.

Differences in ROM versions? There have been revisions. When mine was updated from IKCOS to IKMOS even the dealer commented that the car sounded different. It's been a year, but I don't recall feeling a difference on the road.

i really don't think there is anything wrong with your car. It has such low mileage.
i think your mind has been destroyed by owning a 911 Turbo. sorry, mate! go rent a 120hp hatchback for 2 weeks, put the 1M away. Then return the rental hatchback and drive the 1M. |

It's worth noting that these engines do break in and loosen up after a while - perhaps you are just feeling the friction of a new engine?

First off.. ALWAYS BET ON BLACK! Sounds like you did... and ya sold it (DOH! ) and now you've got a slower, white car.. 1- Possible charge pipe issue - check connections - probably worth checking the dealer's work.. 2- possible adaptation issue. The car has only 1200 Km in your hands right? Looks like you need to start it up and drive the crap out of it hard about 10x In a row and see if it begins to adapt and provide more power. 3- go to a dyno and check output. If all three above check out, then it sounds like your "trade in " light has just came on again ( seems like a frequent issue for you! ) and perhaps it's time for you to pick up an M4. I think the 1M always feels pretty fast, even after driving 911 turbos which I already did.
It sounds strange to me that you didn't pull from the SQ5, the 1M does ~10 secs 0-160 kph and ~16/17 secs 0-200 kph and the SQ5 takes ~14 secs and ~25 secs to reach the same speeds. Unless you only tested from 0 to 100 kph you should pull away quite easily. |

i think you should have it painted Orange.....then it will certainly be much, much faster
haha just kidding. hope you figure out whatever is making it 'slow'...it should definitely be quicker than an SQ5, IMO. I would add fuel injectors to your list of possible sources....mine were 'leaking' when i got my car and had them replaced....which freed up some lost power. |

with low km's like that I doubt there can be a problem (not impossible)
but i am pretty sure like some others, its the 997.1, it redefined your definition of FAST. anyways, congrats and hope everything works out well.!
