Did early 135i's have an oil cooler?

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me out here.

If they didn't, and anyone could confirm/deny whether the passenger side air duct still had the cutout for the oil cooler, that would be even better.

Yes. Mine is an early '08 build and has the oil cooler.

I believe it was some of the early E9x 335i cars that didn't have an oil cooler, and not the 135i.

When in doubt you can do a visual check. The front of the (I believe) front right wheel well will have vents and a radiator behind it if the car is equipped with an oil cooler.

+1 for early builds though, 13/12/2007 build date and mine has an oil cooler

(I believe)ALL US spec 135i coupes came with an oil cooler. Some '08 Verts without sport package did not come with an oil cooler. '09's and up cars all had oil coolers.

Early 335i's (07's and 08's)did not come with an oil cooler unless they had M-Sport option. Some owners were able to talk BMW NA into retrofitting them.

Also ALL Australian 135i/335i cars had oil coolers (hot climate version)

Your car had to have the increased top speed option to get the oil cooler, I think.
