Video request: N55 with N54 mids and catless DP?

Any N55 owners who swapped to N54 mids (I know, most people do the opposite) and a catless DP?

Curious to see how it would sound

Awesome! Thank you! Is that your car?

Did you install the N54 mids before or after the DP? Did you notice a reduction of smell from the DP?

That's my main concern to eliminate the odor if possible

Yep that's mine. I swapped with someone for the n54 mids after the dp. It completely eliminated the smell. I've actually since went back to catless though. It doesn't bother me anymore.

what muffler is that?

Edit: I see it's the AA exhaust. Looks like I want to swap the N55 mids for N54 too if I do a downpipe and a muffler delete. Sounds like they keep the exhaust quiet and less smelly.

Active Autowerke Gen 1. They make great axle backs. I now have a Gen II.

Does adding back the N54 midpipes with cats negate the benefits of doing the catless downpipe?

Garage List
From what I read, the cats on the n54 DP are 400 cell and cause the most restriction and back pressure. On the N54 mid pipes since they are 200 cell and way further away for the engine you won't notice any changes.

Yeah, I definitely couldn't notice a power difference switching the mid-pipe out.
