Quick question need help

So I purchased a jb4 on here and I messed up and purchased the wrong harness one


So I found some one here local that is selling a jb4 that was on his 328 and he has a type a harness witch I need


Would it work if i was to get his harness and use it with my jb4


Just basically plug it and connect it like normal


Or when you purchase a type a harness jb4 does the actual jb4 also change
