Berk street axleback gasket
Hello,
I have just bought a used Berk street muffler and had a couple questions before installing it: - is it necessary to replace the ring gasket (BMW 18117553130)? It's a $30+ part, if re-using the stock one doesn't create leaks I may go the cheaper route - has anybody used the stock rubber mounts? I don't have the Berk ones, it would be another $30 to get them. For info I have a 2011 135i with 23k miles on it, everything stock. Thanks for any advice! |

I swapped stock for Berk Street, reused existing gasket & hangers with no problem. Was just at 60K miles at the time.

I would try and re-use it, but be prepared that you may need to replace. If it was me, I'd buy one...you can always return it if you don't use it. I hate starting a quick project and not being able to finish it.
