135is DCT revs up to 1k on stop
Hi all, my 135is DCT revs from ~700 idle to 1000 about a second after coming to stop then drops back to 700. Happens pretty much every time. Is this normal? Is the DCT trying to predict stop and go?

There are quite a few threads here that talk about the 135i/135is DCT issues (throttle lag, idle fluctuation, and lurching forward). Do a search for more info.

For what it's worth, despite BMW uploading new firmware, the idle surge returned. It wasn't until I got the Dinan S2 software that the idle surge largely stopped. I say largely because I think it happens every once in awhile instead of every time I come to a stop.

I don't have anything near stalling problems and the throttle lag/lurching is pretty much in line with what I'd expect from a dual clutch. With AC on, idle roughness is more pronounced though. |
