Here's an interesting thread and video with Steve Dinan testing an E90 N55 335i with PPK (same engine as an E8x N55 135i with PPK) for hp and torque.

I don’t think dinan is going to go through the trouble of setting an n55 up on an engine dyno to find out what bmw’s ppk tune makes at the crank lol, they probably don’t use an engine dyno for they’re regular tunes either, it’s more likely just used for their racing engines, striker motors etc...

I'd have to agree, setting up an engine dyno to see 25HP gains is pretty pointless
