Considering every other M arms, except the toe, are the same lenght as Non M, i would say no. Plus i've never heard of it.

I don't believe they widen but switch your rear shocks to direct link

These will not affect rear track width at all. Direct fit for 135i suspension geometry. Just changes lower shock mount to a bearing type and weigh something like 4lbs less each. You will need the HPA custom rear headlight mount and new rear shocks. Hardware is also different.
