Hood won't open 2013 135i
How would I go about repairing this myself? My hood won't open on my car, before the hood release was increasingly tough to open and now there is no resistance.

No resistance means probably broken cable. Odds are the fix will be popping out a grille and finding the right spot to pull / maybe twist or similar, perhaps w/ a tool. Youtube or the forum here probably has an answer.
But first I'd be 100% sure it's not just more stuck than ever - have someone put a little weight on the hood around the latch while you pull the cable. See if the extra boost from them won't smush things together and free up some friction keeping the cable from doing the job. Also - when it got harder and harder to do was the time you needed to address this! |

Yeah as tracer bullet said it's most likely a snapped hood release cable. There are a few threads around here addressing it, from what I've read, best technique is long screwdriver through one of the grills to try to release the hood manually.
