Sensor Location After BMS Cowl Filter Install
There is a left and right sensor (I think a hood sensor and something else?) on the cowl and after removing the cowl they have no where to go.
I watched a bunch of Youtube videos on BMS cowl filter installs but nobody mentioned what to do with the sensors! (Same with threads on 1addicts) I am not getting any codes or errors but I don't feel comfortable having them just wedged into their respective corners. Has anyone come up with a solution for these loose sensors? Thanks! |

You need something to replace the surfboard tray to avoid water ingress. Buy M3 E92 style cowls, they are two pieces. These are lighter & will still leave the entire engine bay open unlike the stock cowl. One sensor is for cabin air detection. I just tucked them in.

Also x2 removing the cowl is a terrible idea and it makes me question all BMS products and advertising the way they market it! |

No issues with water ingress get cowl filter covers and call it done.
I do like the M3 cowling though, you'll need to retrofit mini hood washer nozzles I don't believe it's a direct fit.
