I'm really starting to like the black with lemon IF it doesn't look too much like an oreo cookie. (i.e. if it isn't too black/white ish) |

Greetings all! I just found this site and the post and I have to say that I am really glad that I am not the only one who is absolutely obsessed by the new 1er coupe.
Can't go wrong with black exterior. I am still undecided about the interior. |

is that second car a 128? it's hard to tell but i can't see the plastic piece on the rear bumper like the 135s have. the wheels look smallish too.
edit: forgot about european models e.g. diesel. |

black shows marks very easily and if you aren't careful you'll end up with big swirlie marks on your car if you let someone wash it for you ... like the dealership. other colors hide this more ... but black looks so nice.

I have a thing for black cars. My current E46 328i is black with a black leather interior. I know, I know... killer combination in the summer. But black BMWs especially with the chromeline window trim just look so elegant and sporty at the same time. The exterior color is a done deal, it'll be black but the interior color, now that's a different story...
I bought the 328i CPO so I didn't have much of a choice with the interior color. Now that I'm going to get a brand new 1er, I have to decide on an interior color. Initially, it was without question going to be red leather (to somewhat replicate the E46 M3 Carbon Black/Red Leather combination whch I've always really liked, the black isn't even really black, it's like a super-dark navy), but I'm liking the brownish leather and also the lemon leather on the shots above. They say red is bad for re-sale, not that I really care. Is a red interior one of those deals where it looks great as a casual observer but it wears thin if you've got to live with it every day? |
