Tire Rack now lists the 1-series on the upgrade garage

But they only list tires for it right now, no wheels.

Maybe they are as eager for the 1 as us addicts. 3 tire choices. Wow, that's just umm underwhelming. I have to wonder what BMW was thinking picking 215 instead of 225/40-18 (87 choices). This just makes me more anxious to see what size wheels/tires can be squeezed under those wheel wells.

...even if we go for 245/35-18 all around, there still aren't a whole lot of choices. However, note that Hoosier A6 and R6's are available! Autocross and track-days in a non-staggered offset, here we come! Hmm I'm lax on my autocross rules, could we run non-staggered tires when factory is staggered?

235/40-18 all the way around would be my preference.

For autocross stock class, you don't have to run stock tire size, but you have to run stock sized rims. At least that's what my friend tells me. I don't run stock class myself.

That is true. And you can use an aftermarket wheel of identical dimensions as long as the offset is within 6mm.
