The last quarter mile made me do it!
I finally got my chance today to test drive the 135i (unfortunately auto though). And I don't think I need to tell everyone what an amazing get-up-and-go engine this car has! I was pretty mild with it, until the last stretch back to the dealership. I dropped the hammer (pardon the Days of Thunder quote haha) and WOW...at 80 in no time at all! After that...well...I just HAD to put my order in!
135i Monaco Blue/Taupe 'ette/High Gloss Black/sports package/comfort access/heated seats/hd radio Now the only decision is to keep or sell the recently paid off 03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT....lol...leaning towards keeping it just for the Brembos and to guard from someone turning it into a ricer (no offense to our "Tokyo Drift" peeps in here ) :roundel: |

Welcome, and those test drives are a killer... I ordered "blindly" without a test drive, but the first drive of my car was definitely a revelation, and I knew I made the right decision.
Nice config, btw. |

Like Larry, many of us ordered the thing sight unseen. We knew we did the right thing, after all, it's a small high powered BMW, what's not to like?:iono:
You did the right thing as well.

Congrats. My dealer said before I test drove if I was ready to buy today? I said why...he said because after the test drive, you will be. He was right of course.

I am not a huge fan of drifting but I have experienced the original drift scene in japan up in the rural northern mountains. I have mad respect for those peeps! for them it is not about a commercialized sport but rather the thrill of doing things on those NARROW mountain roads that most ppl would never even attempt. haha oh yeah! congrats OP!
