My car is in limp mode 2a85 code/3100 code

I need help figuring out these codes, because I can find forums on this code 2a85. But it keeps the car in limp mode. Could a boost solenoid cause a vanos code.

I would start by replacing both of your VANOS solenoids to see if code goes away. You can always clean them but its only a bamd aid solution and code eventually wil come back.

I replaced my solenoids and I’m still having the same problem, was this ever fixed for you?

Cam ledges. Just replace them it's not worth agonizing over.

Sorry, what kind of Vanos solenoids did you replace with? I had to replace them with Genuine ones to get rid of the fault codes. The first AM made in china ones I tried were trash.
