Lip...or no lip...

Wondering what everyone thought about having a lip and not having a lip on the 1. I am deciding between a setup with a lip or m6 reps. Let me know what you guys think...

The splitters from the performance catalogue. Its like a lip but in two pieces.

That is what I meant. Similar to these styles or m6 reps. Either set will be a staggered set up. Opinions? No "you should get these" either lol. I have searched this whole wheel and tire forum and seen many of the styles. I just want some advice between these 2 styles ))

Gonna vote for lip. I've always wanted a BMW coupe with a nice set of rims with a lip. However, I will agree with some that the one seems the least suited to it of all current BMWs.

A nice lip would be great. Staggered with 2" lips in front and 3" lips in the rear. Just remember that lips make the wheel look smaller. If you get wheels with lips, get 19" wheels.

Thats what I was thinking too!! It kills me, I dont want it to look stupid. I found a set with 38 offset, 8,0x18 for front and 9,0x18 for the rear.

Could someone photoshop a 135 or 128 with a set of wheels with a decent lip to them?

Big lip is for an older style of car. The newer style cars look better with no lip but with a concave look.

I'm gonna have a step lip on mine. I think it'll look fine. Just have a track set ready for fun days.
