Dipped Beam failure

Recently got a "Dipped beam failure" on the right headlamp and decided to troubleshoot and repair by myself.

Found this great tutorial on Youtube that guided me thru the whole process:

I did not know how labor intensive it was going to get, but it was not difficult at all. Did it by myself.

In the end it turned out to be the ballast that had to be replaced and after doing some searching I found there is a whole lot of offerings for these ballasts ranging in price from about $ 17 for a no-name all the way to $520 for the OEM one.

I read some reviews online for the cheaper ones stating some had failed in a matter of hours and some within a few days. I was not feeling like going thru this whole process in a week or so and ordered the VALEO part for $ 269 shipped. My car was fitted with a Valeo ballast from the factory after all.
