Want to play a little game ?
This happened last night, during a 45 min highway drive... I think there is an error (read a problem) in this pic, can you find it ? :iono:
(sorry for the crappy cell pic) Thanks for playing ! |

is it because the tank is empty and it says you have 97 km left?

Is the car running?
Because that would certainly make both folks so far right. I'm also concerned it's so cold in Canada. You should move to California or something.

Actually it's -26.5... hit -30.5 this morning :w00t:
The car is running at idle and I dont' have active steering. This is the handbrake sign... Adood84 is right  So more-than-empty tank but computer is showing 97km left. Wich one should I trust ? Went with the computer and I was right... but is this normal ? I had 120km left with the needle right on 0. Maybe the needle had a hard time dealing with the extreme cold ? |

Keep your gas tank over half filled in the winter months, or if you keep your car in storage for a long time. Gas and oil can be affected by time and temperature, so can their sensors.
