Condensation?
Anyone noticied when having the aircon on, window down that condensation forms on the dash in the shape of like a long airduct... its like you can see the pipework the aircon goes through to reach the dash vents...
I put my hand on the condensation and its wet... so essentially my dash looks wet. Only happens with the aircon on and when its incredibly humid, like yesterday/this morning.... hmmmm |

That's just the a/c doing it's job of cooling, de-humidification is a by-product which lifts the moisture laden air over the window where it drops out. I assume this is when you first start up as the air must be initially hotter than the glass?

Might want to check your a/c drain as this shouldn't happen in hot weather.

You call that hot? BOM says it only got to 33.6°C and 37%RH at 11:55am this morning at the airport in AP. Last Thursday, we got to 41°C and 21%RH! Now that was hot.

Kris, I think you're battling with physics. The aircon duct must be close to the surface of the dash, and would provoke condensation if you let humid air into the cabin. You get the same thing when the bathroom mirror fogs up when a hot shower is running, or when you have a cold night outside and moisture condenses on the inside of your bedroom window.
Why would you want to have your window on and the aircon going at the same time? Sort of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

well checked it out Kris yeterday at A/Park 39.5 deg so the car said and humidity of about 380% and guess what? Did what you did for about 10 seconds and said "fuck this is too hot to do a test" and wound the windows up. Mybe another day when its colder (low 30's).

Nice one Chris.
BTW the avatars went AWOL when they merged 1addicts with Bimmerpost over the weekend. You need to upload your avatar image again.
