Performance side skirts arrived at last

I went for the kit which had all the fixings included and was packed really well.

Taking your time with the sill cover paid off, the holders for the clips can break easily.

Removing the skirt clips is easy, first lift the pins

Then get under the main plugs

Then on to the hex screws underneath

After a bit of pulling front and back, it came away

Refitting was just the reverse

Yes they do come pre painted to the colour of your choice, I bought mine pre painted from my local dealer £245.00 including taxes

Maybe for the UK, for us in the US, I don't see that as an option.
If it came painted from the factory, I would really consider this.

Here's the part number for mine B51 77 0 445 641 you might want to try your dealer with the number, keep in mind they are pre painted silver.

You can order them from Dan at United BMW. Put your paint info in the messages panel at checkout. I got my 135 front and rear bumpers from them already painted AW.

I'm aware that Dan can paint them at additional cost.
I was hoping the price included paint from the factory.
I'm wondering how come the UK comes painted and the US is not.

Yea..that would be coo, if it's painted from the factory.

So you place an order there's different part numbers depending on color?
Or is it the same part number and the dealer have it painted for u?

No different for each colour, they are painted in Germany.

It's double the amount for the States to have them painted by BMW. We use certified BMW-trained shops to paint, nothing but the best!

There is an option for it to be ordered but is currently on BMW NA freeze which may not become available... can't really tell when/if it will become available

Thank Dan...just curious if that was an option. I do trust painting it thru you would be just as good...

The skirts would be my second mod after the shifter kit. When eva that is....

I don't want to be the first to say this but the paint on the skirts doesn't appear to be color matched very well. They appear to be a lighter color than the rest of the car.

Please tell me it's just the light, camera and/or dirt.

man, i really like the car color. I haven't actually seen a silver car in person yet... getting tired of my SGM. But the side skirts really stand out on your car! Good stuff! I was thinking about getting em but I didn't think they'd be noticable on a darker color.
