GP 8500, Clear turn signal bulbs, smoked reflectors

Here are a few pics of my headlight mods...

So far I put in the GP 8500's H8 only so far, and I also installed the clear turn signal bulbs, which look great at night when the headlights are on because they are more dim, which draws more attention to the headlights... I also custom cut some window tint to cover up the amber reflectors... Tell me what you think about them, because I have mixed feelings and only paid $10 for them so I can easily take them off and toss them...

Do you get a bulb out warning though?

Yea, i get the indicator when turning on the car but then just click it out of view with the lever button..no recurring chime or warning lamp pop-up either, so I can live with hitting the little button when I turn on the car.

p.s. I deleted my original reply cuz i didnt wana thread jack OP.

I didnt get any warning lights or anything from installing either of the bulbs

I got them from mod bargains for like $20...
It didnt even occur to me that I could take out the reflectors! I would have done that if I knew about it...

has anyone installed bimmian solaris InvisiBulbs that light up super white? i'm thinking about getting these and i was wondering if the turn signals still show up amber because of the amber reflector with these white bulbs.

Yeah like I said I have mixed feelings about the amber covers I cut, but I hate the amber soooo much! They should have just made them more like the 335i cpe headlights... Hopefully the facelift coming up will bring a better/revised light design... Also I cant help but hope for lsd, wider stock wheels/tires,dual exhaust, M-dct just to name a few...

I was looking at the solaris bulbs and I know that there are 2 types, the one that lights up a whitish/blue, and one that lights up orange. Both are coated with a silver tint so it would do the job of eleminating some of the orange inside the light assembly. I just think that the ones that light up bluish/white are kind of ricey. Heres a vid of with them installed on an e46 m3...

jimmy, just to be certain, you have clear bulbs that emit white light, but due to the amber reflectors, from the front, we would see amber lights. am i correct?
