Crappy tint - what can I do?
Cliff Notes:
Full 40% Huper Optik tint - complete with hairs/fibers in the tint on the rear windshield and dried, delaminated tint on the driver and passenger side windows. Oh, and he bubbled the tint along the rear passenger window with his heat gun. This guy guarantees his work (ambiguously, via his website). The HO tint is also guaranteed. What the F can I do? EDIT: I wound up putting my foot down with this guy and had the tint reinstalled. He did a great job the second time around. Last edited by sysfailur; 01-24-2011 at 06:47 AM.. |

If you charged the job on your credit card, call up and contest the charge with the credit card company. Tell them you attempted to resolve the issue with the vendor and he refused to honor his warranty or fix the problems.
It won't get you the tint removed which will cost a few bucks or fix the damage to the seal, but at least you'll get some relief quickly.

This is an old post, but thought I'd comment, nonetheless.
I would contact Huper directly. They are very selective when it comes to who installs their product. I know HO is apparently much harder to install than most tints, but this is unacceptable. They should rectify your situation. |
