I started a thread a while back about it, and the general consensus was that it was poorly precut, difficult to apply, and overall unpleasing.

i have lamin-x headlight and taillight covers on my car

i had the headlaps installed at a tint shop but put the tails on myself.
It really wasnt that bad. Just use a blow dryer and the material will form to the curvature of the taillight easily.

it looks GREAT, in my opinion. It darks (not blacks) out everything but the LED strips, so it looks pretty mean from the back.

If you go on Ebay and just seach for smoked vinyl, you'll get countless "auctions" of sheets of smoked vinyl by the square yard, etc. Much easier than Lamin-X. I bought a set, and since I'm a moron I fudged up the first taillight i tried, but succeeded in the second, then didn't have enough left over to retry the first, so I took it all off. It's easier to buy big sheets (which include a scraping/smoothing tool AND instructions) from ebay (I bought a set which seemed like it was meant for a 350Z considering the pictures and instructions haha, but the total size of the vinyl still would have fit over my car if I would have got the first taillight right) and just work from there than buy the "pre-cut" aka poorly cut lamin-x... Just get a X-acto knife to cut around the lights when you install it (there should be that convenient groove/gap between the lights and the car's body to just cut into so you have no danger of scratching up the car or the taillights) and you're set! I'm gonna try it again when I feel like it, the whole kit was 20-30 bucks or so including shipping and I could do it myself and be perfect rather than rely on someone else's "precut" pattern..
