What is the standard warranty (years) on a 135i?

I was under the impression it was 3 years?

But on the BMW website it says all cars come with a 2 year unlimited km warranty?

2 years in Australia? Annoying. I only have a 2 year warranty on my 1er in Belgium but I thought that was a European thing. All the cars I previously owned in Oz had 3 year warranties (not BMW's). Surprised that BMW wouldn't offer the same given that some manufacturers are now offering 5 and 7 year warranties.

Well I am not sure if they are referring to a 2 year warranty on parts used in a service or on the actual car or what. It doesnt make it clear.

Good to hear. Don't think I could have coped with the navigation warning screen AND only a 2 year warranty. May still buy a BMW when I return.

Although the VW Golf R is being launched in Australia this year....

Plus I think off hand that BMW offers a further 24 months warranty after the initial 3 yeArs expires for around $1950.

Considering the HPFP and the tail light issues, that may well be worth considering...

Do you know if this is offered automatically or you need to ask them? Also, is the warranty the same as the original and any need to know conditions? I would like to do this if I decide on keeping my 1 after standard 3 yr warranty period.

I know there are several companies offering warranty but the fine print is alarming for instance servicing your car every 6k otherwise it would void the warranty.

Back in 05' I purchased the BMW 1 year extended warranty for my 330Ci at $895.At that time it was a fully backed BMW in house warranty including all parts and labour.

I was told by the dealer when purchasing the 135i back in 08' that they still offer the extended warranty but only for 2 years as most purchasers buy on a 5 year lease and top up the original 3 year factory warranty.

Have not seen or heard much more since then, but will follow this up next week when I take my car in for some warranty work.
