ICarbon rear spoiler DIY??

I found an old DIY for the bmw performance rear spoiler, not sure if this would work with the icarbon spoiler as well. Just curious who has the best way of doing this, the old DIY I saw they just used 3m dbl sided tape.

seems so yeah, like I said earlier I been talkin to Chris @ iCarbon and he says their spoilers are top quality n that it only needs 3M tape unlike the crap quality ones that dont fit proper n need betalink glue etc

Buuuut yea STILL waiting for Chris to reply to my PM and tell me how to order

ps: fitments pretty much the same far as I know

betalink the bad boy down.. there is a DIY already on how to install with betalink. as far as ordering it, i purchased it from http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/ or Dan from United.
drop them both an email or call just to verify price shipped, and if it comes with the cleaning solution.

Does teh ICarbon spoiler come with the necessary 3m tape? Or is that extra, Im not fuckin with that betalink stuff, looks like WAY too much mess and trouble for me to deal with, rather take my time n do the 3m tape right n press n go. No mess

Also, Dlevi has the BMW performance one, not the ICarbon, i dun wanna spend 500 bucks on this thing, plus ive seen both and I think the ICarbon looks better and fits perfectly

Hey guys!

Here's some installation tips that can work on our spoiler or an OEM BMW performance spoiler as well. Stiff spoilers that are fiberglass reinforced probably won't stick like this, because the ends will want to come up.

Installing the spoiler is a joke! We send it pre-taped in all the crucial areas, so you literally peel, make sure the ends line up (use a buddy) and stick it on!

This spoiler DOES NOT need beta link due to the fact that it bends to the curvature of the trunk. It's not fiberglass reinforced, just a thin-enough full carbon piece, so it is very flexible and easy to work with.

I don't think I would ever use betalink to attach something; it's incredibly messy and permanent!

Put enough 3M tape to hold it firmly, but not to overdo it, because a lot of guys want to take the spoiler off for lease returns, changing to something else, etc.

For a more "permanent" solution, just apply some more 3M tape in the areas we don't pre-tape.

Tips:

1) Make sure the area where you will stick this on is cleaned properly and ALL OLD TAPE from the factory spoiler is removed. You can use Goo-gone or a similar product to help.

2) You will then need to clear the application area of any oils or waxes that will hinder the performance of the 3M tape. To do this use a 50/50 mix of Isopropyl alcohol to water. Use it to clean the application area and dry it off with a microfiber.

3) Use a buddy to line up one side while you line up the other.

4) Once installed where it needs to be, use some strips of painters tape to tape the spoiler to the trunk overnight while the 3M tape cures. This step isn't necessary, but some guys like to do this.

5) Enjoy!
