Favorite Detailer

Anyone have a favorite detailer in the NOVA/DC area? More concerned with quality over price...

I know there are many,

but i've always gone to Advantage Auto Certified and used their detailing services. I always go for the "professional for $250. Always been happy with results and they are consistent w/ their results. They have always provided me w/ a loaner car for the day (got to ask though)

http://www.advantagecertified.com/detail_menu.php

do a search on this forum and see what you find

hes good he started within the rsx community and now is pretty popular from what i heard. we set up a package to do both my cars, hes supposed to do my bmw but our schedules are very very different.

he definitely takes pride in the work he does. price can go up a lot depending on your car and what you need.

only negative i would have to say is the location, he works out of a shop in fredericksburg....which is almost a 1hr drive for me. he does mobile detailing but he prefers not to and i think that adds to the price as well because he has to travel. I have another guy thats pretty good too... a good place to look is autopia.org. a lot of detailers praise him tho. Raja i heard is good too, I'm actually supposed to see him for a clear bra when i get back into the united states.

if you use dj mayo, you can mention me. maybe get a discount?

Tunnie,

Yes, I will absolutely take care of your M3 and quick detail it as well.

DJ Mayo is good and I have seen his work. From what I heard he's a stand up guy. In this area, there are few good detailers. I am glad we are all spread out, so we are not stepping on each other's toe.

Al,

You need to bring the M by. Btw, your m3 convertible - you sold it to my friends. lol. I saw your old car and was laughing. They sold it to get a 7 or 5 series. I think they drove a 750li today.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I have 3 areas that I work out of so whichever is closest works. Crofton, Fredericksburg, and Gainesville. Depending on the job I can come to you if certain requirements are met. I have met A LOT of great people in the BMW community and continue to keep in touch with many. I need to make my way to a meet and meet some more of you.

Where do you work out of in Crofton? I just did a full detail on mine but am going to want to have someone do a professional one after the winter is over to get all the crud off the car.

I do some work for a car collector that has an awesome facility that I can do other cars out of as needed. It is right off Route 50, maybe 4 miles.

I sent you an email about detailing in MD. I live in Columbia, MD and would have no problem coming to Crofton. Are there places around where I can kill some time while you work?

Let's schedule something soon!
