Question Somewhat unusual request...(M3 related)

All -

I planning to either trade or sell my current 2005 E46 M3 w/ZCP for a 2011 E92 M3 w/ZCP. However, here is my issue. I currently live in a townhome/condo here in Columbia, MD without a car garage. The parking is general public parking and I'm somewhat concerned about having the new M3 parked out there. So far, I haven't had too many issues with dings or scratches from other cars in the lot; people seem to respect each others vehicles.

However, I know all it takes is one azzhole to swing his or her door open too wide. I actually want to sell or rent out this house so I can buy up, but the market is just too weak right now and I'm $45K upside down on the loan. I make very good money (more than $160K) and can afford the car, I just don't know if I should wait until I can get a house with a car garage (which could be 2-3 years depending on the market).

So, my request is this: Would anyone in my area consider allowing me to wash the car at their house on the weekends? Obviously, we would first have to build some type of rapport with each other (through meets and what not). I would even pay just to use the water.

I know I should, and will, post this in the regional forum but I wanted to add more visibility to the post.

Thanks!

Go for the E92.
I detail my car often in my driveway so you would be more than welcome to join me.

Route 40 in Ellicott City across from Checkers has a self serve car wash (not drive thru).

Those self-serve washes are good-but go in the early am when no one is around so you can get out your 2 buckets/sponges, wheel brushes etc to do a thorough job without holding people up.

I got the same problem, I'm forever asking my buddy to let me use his driveway to wax the car. Don't let not having a drivway keep you from getting the car, I absolutely love mine even when it is covered in gunk.
