Question about 135i Stock wheels and specs

does anyone know the stock wheel specs? As in offsets and size of course.

also a quick measure from the inside of the rim to strut clearance front n rear.

Thread dig! Has anyone put the stock front wheels on the rear axle?
Was thinking of taking as a spare on a road trip if it will fit on both front and rear axle.

Really??? Not too hard to find all the wheel specs on that site. Took me all of 10 seconds. Don't know of any place that has clearance to struts given wheel width, offsets, suspension tweaks, tires, and parts...all of which impact what you are looking for. There is a whole thread on what fitments work with and without fender or suspension rubs. Take a look and you'll find what your looking for I'm sure.

I had the same idea, so I just tried it now. Front wheel fits fine on the rear. Obviously, rears don't fit on the front!

I fit the rears on the front just yesterday and they fit fine-- I have a 12mm spacer-- could go down to a 10mm, with about 3/8 clearance, fit in fender just fine also, no need to roll-- actually looking for 2 rears as we speak to fit on the front for a Square setup, no larger tire than a 245 though

OK, I know I've picked up a really old thread but I have exactly the same question and this post may be the answer to what I've been trying to find out. The wheel sizes and offsets you mentioned above - will they fit a 2008 135i (E88) without rubbing ?
I currently have 17" rims that are 7.5" wide all round with 50 profile winter tires and I'm getting some rubbing (I think) when I bounce through dips in the road - I can't figure out if it's the tires rubbing the fenders or if my stock suspension has had it. I have 61K on the car. I posted in the suspension section here - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1460120

Any info you can give me would be very much appreciated.

By going to 19" rims and same offset can you run same size tires ??

Could run same widths, just go down a profile F&R (from 40&35 to 35&30) to keep the overall heights similar.

You can run 18x8.5 ET52 rear wheels in the front with a 10mm spacer. Several popular 255/35/18 street and track tires also fit if you have a little extra camber from an M3 lower suspension arm and or a Dinan camber plate. 245’s fit with no mods.

This is a good starting square track or autox setup. If you have lots of power mods you are going to need to do a 1M bumper and fender conversion (most wide body kits are ugly) to get big enough meats in the back to put the power down.

Use the forum search there are dozens of threads and lots of pics to confirm this.
