Son Tran appreciation thread

I finally was able to get in touch with Son Tran the wheel repair Magician to repair many curb rashes on my Volks. He came by with a friendly, no rush attitude as we were going over the damages on my wheels. We had a nice chat while he was working on the repair, and his phone kept on ringing all the time, but that didn't seem to bother his concentration and focus a bit. His skills is a work of art and the repair has turned my wheels like new again! I would highly recommend this guy to all of you seeking wheel repair! Highly skillful and very easy going personality! And the price will be more than good enough if you mention you're from Bimmerpost!

i was skeptical when i took my old hartge type A wheels to him that's on my e30 b/c of the color but he matched it perfectly and made them look brand new since i had some curb rashes on them.

Can a Son Tran satisfied customer PM me the rates he charged you?

I called Son today (left a message, haven't spoke to him yet) to set up an appt for him to fix my wifes wheels on her RRS. HUGE mistake getting her forged 22" inch wheels holy be-jesus has she managed to FVCK them up, all 4!

I just want to get an idea at what I am looking at pay wise. Thanks guys.

I'm not sure what his normal rates are but I believe in the past when he offered his services at a meet, his prices started at $50-60 depending on how bad the damage was and if you had repair done on more than one wheel he usually gave a discount. He came up to norcal last year to offer his services and on one of the days he came up it was windy and raining so working conditions were poor. There were a couple customers where he wasn't satisfied with his own work, so he didn't take their money. That's the type of person he is from my past experience.

Try give Son Tran a ring. You may be far out there but perhaps he can meet you halfway. Or bring your ride to one of those ///M Fest meets where Son Tran will repair wheels on site.

BUMP!

Son came to my house today (way out in Calabasas, far from his home base) and fixed the 22" Wheels on my wife's Range Rover Sport. Did an AMAZING job! Was super friendly, good rates, and seriously made the wheels look 100% new.

Couldn't reccomend Son enough. The damage on the wheels was bad, nothing horendous, but all 4 had something pretty bad. Wheels are brushed silver, so no fancy materials or anything. Seriously give Son a call if you need your wheels fixed

yeah, he is good. I was going to use him to repair couple of the wheels, but found out the wheels are bent.
