A real high quality LED kit!!!!! SONIC TUNING

First let me say this kit is top notch!

I began my search for a LED interior kit when I saw my friends kit in a e60m. My first step lead me to bimmian led interior kit from a vendor. I received it and was very upset that I paid $80 for something that looked like what it did. There was one led for the smaller map lights up front, three on the middle ones, and three-four for the glove box and trunk. The trunk bulb did not fit the slot so I had to bend the metal significantly to make it fit. After I put it in I was not too impressed with the brightness of the kit. Then I started it and the lights turned off and would not turn back on. I then contacted the vendor and he informed me that it has happened to “some” cars and that it is because there is not enough power draw on the system. I then replaced two bulbs with oem to confirm. I was shipped two replacement bulbs and was excited to get them in. However once I got them I realized they shipped me COLORED NON LED BULBS!!!!! I sent it back and left negative feedback.

This kit from SONIC TUNING is much different

Right when I opened it I saw that this was a high quality kit and far superior to the bimmian kit. The large map lights had 12 jumbo led’s a piece and the small front map lights had three (just like the biggest lights on the bimmian kit, WTF). The mirror lights (which the other kit didn’t have) have 8 led’s, the trunk has 8 jumbo led’s, and the glove box has 12 led’s.

I will be putting this in tomorrow so expect a review and a small DIY (pretty easy to do).

I'll be interested to see the results. The problem with LEDs is that they're unidirectional - more like spotlights than floodlights. Can they really illuminate large areas like the car interior and the trunk?

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought these with out pics... They are great worth the money! Except for the reading lights (they are horrible) no light reaches the seats and are a nasty blue color!

My advice call them and buy this kit without the reading lights. I returned mine with the mirror lights too (because I dont have premium package) so avoid paying for stuff you dont need or the crappy reading lights (save the 20 dollars) then go buy these on ebay for the reading lights (these are nice and cheap!) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_2450wt_941

Those have the same big 5050 leds that give off the bright white that the rest of the kit contains from this site. Also they are aimed correctly to provide light where you want it.

Otherwise the only other annoying part about the kit is the dome lights need a dab of super glue to keep from laying down on the light cover, which looks ghetto.

Other than that they are bright and awesome! for the money

So if you wanted to change all the interior lights you would need 4 t10 lights total ?
