New 1 Addicts Member with JB4
Hi Guys,
I finally decided to become a member of 1 Addicts. I have been following this forum for a while. I have a 135i with JB4, dual cone intake and 3" C@tless downpipes. I know most Aussie's run Procede but I've been with Burger Motorsport for a while now. I had the previous JB3 also and I have to say that the JB4 is truely an amazing tune. The car pulls extremely hard and smooth all the way to redline. Only problem is traction with runflats. I love it when a HSV GTS or a Ford GTP even an F6 attempt to run you and you blow them way It leaves them My wife complains and says the car go's like shit whenever I remove the tune for dealer visits. I've put down 260KW @ the wheels with the old tune and stock downpipes and now with JB4 custom map running 17psi with race fuel and 3" C@tless downpipes I'm going for 300+KW @ the wheels. Now where's that V8 M3.... |

The last time I dynoed my car (18 months ago ) with custom midpipes running JB3/1.4 on map 5 , My car came through on 259 Killer wasps ATW.. So his figures are not that high..Whether the OP will break 300KW is another question.. |

in a recent motor mag they put the R8 (317kw), F6 (about 310 i think) and GT-P (335kw) utes up against each other and the F6 was the quickest in a straight line, I think it clocked about 4.9x to 100km/h and almost a 13 flat 1/4 mile. The R8 was the slowest, but even the F6 we will spank with a tune only. Add dps and you will probably add another car length or two

Don't get me wrong I have great respect for the Aussie muscle but it's just no match for a nicely tuned twin turbo 135 or 335. |

When I dynoed my car I had JB3 2.0, intake and race gas on map 7 and put down 260KW on a nice cool day. |

Huge torque. I think with some good street tyres I can pull a low 12 giving conditions are ideal also. |

yeh it wouldnt be easy but with a good set of tyres or semi slicks then I cant see why not providing conditions are ok.

comparing JB4 map 2 to JB3 map 7 or Procede map 2 then its down a bit on power but not much at all and I would assume thats because of the reduced boost level. The power delivery is very smooth though and it is very strong at higher speeds. Overall it does get my tick of approval, great product

A little less boost but more useable power. Do you have the latest interface & firmware to enable adaptive PID? I downloaded it about two weeks ago and the JB4 went from smooth to super smooth. |

not yet, I read up on it about a week ago but had no time to update it. I will do it on the weekend. Adaptive PID looks good though

I guess I should be flattered that after spending some much time, effort and money and stretching out your 135's engine that you want to find an M3 hahahaha If an M3 is high 4's to a 100 and a 1M is just a tenth or so off that (me thinks it will be closer than that in reality) your mods will BLOW any Euro performance car away....... in a straight line. (excepting of course Fezzas and GT and TT Porsches) Now where's that warranty gone....... sorry, I know smart ar5e, couldn't help a bit of Friday arvo humour Welcome aboard anyway! |

Love those Friday arvos I'm still waiting to race a V8 M3 or C63 AMG. I love both of these animals. I obliterated an E46 M3 about two weeks ago. Poor guy had no idea what he was about to race. |
