Performance CF spoiler v. Aftermarket
I've been searching around and haven't found any specific feedback on the quality of some of these aftermarket CF spoilers vs the performance once.
Anyone have any input comparing the Perf one vs the ones available on line (e.g. Adamaster, Jlevi / **********s)? Seems to be less then half the price of eom. |

I had the same problem when I went to purchase a CF spoiler. What I found out was that 3rd party CF never seems to be the quality that OEM has (aka- yellowing, bubbling, spaces in the weave, etc) And I didn't want to deal with any of that mess.
Just remember that 3rd party pieces are never 100% OEM Fit. If you are searching for OEM Fit and finish then go BMW and splurge. I don't regret my purchase at all. Check with your dealer and you can easily get a discount! Mine only cost me 365$ at my dealer because I asked! ![]() You can send a message(PM) to DTMrack.com on this sight, they sell iCarbon which I believe is right up there with OEM. I used iCarbon for my CF mirror overlays... most overlays are hard to get really good fitment since they go over the existing paint covers... but these were 99% fitment. Pictures of comparison attached OEM vs iCarbon (both by far better ways to go):

If I were doing it again, I'd go iCarbon or the OEM. I ordered one from a retailer and wasn't pleased. I returned it for store credit to go towards something better. Spend the money and spend it once.

Careful if you use BetaLink adhesive... its tough to put on and can ruin your trunk if you let it dry wrong. If you want to go safe use 3M adhesive double sided tape for cars.

Mine was applied using Betalink. And it was also my first experience with it... Definitely A LOT harder than I expected... the stuff is basically gooey tar! Luckily I had someone help me while applying to make sure extras didn't spill out on the car.
