Stock exhaust
Just wondering fellas, what did you guys do with your stock exhaust after the swap? Are you guys keeping it? Or maybe sold it? Going in for performace exhaust this weekend.

If you are going for another BMW exhaust then you do not need to keep your stock one. I t is best to keep it when you go with like a muffler delete or something different like that as it could help you with the resale of your car down the road. My opinion...

I retain any and all parts that get removed for upgrades. With the exception of stock read subframe bushings. Those are a pia....
I save them for resale and in case anything happens. ie: car accident totals it, potential future buyer doesn't want the upgrades etc. If you have the space to store them that is. |

I asked the dealer to hold mine for a few days in case I didn't like the performance exhaust. The next day I called and told them they could chuck it because I knew I wouldn't go back and houses here in Phoenix have very little storage.

I kept my midpipes and axleback for about a year and a half.. two years maybe after i removed them. I recently put them both up for sale and the midpipes sold for about 200 bucks. New they're 2000, so I'm hoping I don't need them again, but since i bought my car (no lease return) and you don't need the midpipe cats to pass emissions, I didn't see the harm since I love my berk midpipes so much. The axleback I'd only consider keeping if I were to sell the car and want to go back to mostly stock, but I don't really plan on selling the car soon (or ever i hope!) so I have no use. 2 years after replacement, I don't really want them cluttering up my garage any more.
