Raceland Downpipes

Ok, so yes i know these have been brought up a few times but ive done some research and i didnt find anything that has answered my question. IM real set on buying the AR DPs beacue they are a full 3in DP but i dont want the heafty bill. The Racelands on the other hand are very cheap but they are only 2.5in. Im looking to get the most power. I hear good things about the racelands and great fitment. Now my questions is does a .5in difference in size really matter when it come to performance?

ok to answer my own question and maybe a few others out there. Here is a thread i found. It talks about the fitment the price difference compared to AR DPs and it also brings up that the .5in difference is only about ~10hp, 10tq less then the ARs. For only 200 bucks i think its still a great deal.

You have to pay the costs to be the boss

If you are after maximum power go for the 3 inch because you will regret it later when you are trying to squeeze every last hp out. However, there is someone running 2.5 inch on n54tech that runs 11s so it's still possible to make decent power. My advice would be to hold out for the AR Dp's, the fitment is really good and the welds are fantastic.

+1 on AR catless downpipes. I am considering this mod and after some reserch i came to the conclusion that AR DPs is the way to go. If you do it do it right the first time, that way you wont regret it later. If money is an issue now, wait, save up and do it when you can

Yea im trying to squeeze out every HP i can. Money isnt the issue, im just trying to save a few bucks. I found a few people that are selling thier AR DPs. Now its just a matter of who wants to give me the best deal. :-)
