I was hoping you could do this as well, but it appears you can't.

What do you mean by sensitivity?
Do you mean the point at which the headlights turn on? You can change that(!) thru the secret BC menu (from what I remember reading). The one where you add up the last VIN digits to enter the BC hidden easter egg menu. You can also change it with GT1 or BT scan tool I believe. |

If you are talking about the light sensitivity for auto turn on, yes it can be adjusted via the settings menu in iDrive.

iDrive hidden menus For cars with the iDrive (satelite navigation) option, two hidden menus exist. Note: these hidden menus are not available anymore in newer (starting with September 2008 manufacturing) cars as they have a completely new iDrive system.

^^well... anyone who can do coding can also change when the headlights come on. I think they are fne though the way they come (preset) from the factory.

I can do some coding, if its all stored in the HDD its possible to reverse engineer it(decompile), and edit it and put it back in, but its not really worth it and illegal.
There would be lots of goodies in that source code, such as non implemented menus.

Necrobump!
Bringing this one back from the stinky dead- this is one of the threads I found when searching out how to adjust my darn auto headlight sensitivity, too easy/quick to turn on, then didn't want to turn off even in bright sunlight I found the answer, and it worked on my '09 135i! Turns out mine was set to full sensitive, and dropping it down to the least sensitive of three options has made them behave perfectly! The setting is available in the BC options menu as mentioned by Dack. If you don't see the option in the BC menu then you'll need to change some settings in KOMBI to enable it. In my case all the KOMBI settings were already "aktiv" so I just needed to adjust the setting in the BC menu. I'd suggest looking at the BC menu first, then if you don't see the auto headlight sensitivity setting then take the time to check the settings in KOMBI which are listed in the first quote below. For full context all three posts quoted below were found in this thread: Automatic headlight sensitivity Quote:
