Truely integrated aftermarket headunit / options
I've seen *some* clean installs of an aftermarket headunit, but not too many.
Currently I have the Professional (Standard) audio, with bluetooth and that's it. I am looking to see if someone has had a full install of an aftermarket unit that integrated with the steerwheel controls, with the microphone, things like that. I've seen some aftermarket bmw specific items like this or this, but there is no real reviews or mentions of how well they perform (not to mention the interfaces look outdated). Anyway, the only other thing I've seen is a full iDrive install, which would be a bit excessive, but maybe an option. Anything would be great if you could point me in a new direction, thanks! |

Why not keep the HU and just code it to work for an Amp?
Try contacting Technic (also an audio guru) or Ken (VP Electricity) at http://www.musicarnw.com/about/ contact Ken here... http://www.musicarnw.com/contact-us/ |

I have a double din head unit right now that supports all of this (that I installed in my old VW R32), but am hesitant to start an install here. |
