Updated navigation disc?

I have an '08 135i with built in navigation. It still has the original navigation DVD and I'm finding that some of the maps are a bit out of date. I looked on BMWs website and it says a new disc costs $200. That can't be right can it? Not when you can buy iPhone apps that do the same thing for $1.

If that is the real price does anyone know of a reputable torrent site where I can get a copy of a newer disc and burn it myself? I can't bring myself to spend $200 on a new disc when I paid $1200 for the option to begin with only use it every now and then as it is.

Gee you guys get things at far more reasonable prices than we do. A workmate recently paid $900 for an update to the nav system in his M3.

Depends if you want to go legal or pirate. As the 2011 disc came out around this time in 2010, I'd wait for the 2012.

That's ridiculous. How can they get away with that? Do they really think that everyone who owns a bimmmer is filthy rich and wont notice?

To be honest... One of the biggest annoyances is that just last year they completed a major freeway in my town. However whenever I drive on it it looks like I'm in the middle of an empty field and if I enter a destination which can be got to via the freeway it always calculates a route using the surface streets and freaks out when I ignore it and take the freeway instead.

Although it's not annoying enough to pay $200 for a new disc.

Took rps up on his offer and now have an updated disc at a reasonable price. The new disc has the new freeway so my biggest annoyance has been solved.
