Five years soon and remains timeless
It will be five years in November since I bought the car, and now 32,000 km later I can't still get enough of this car.
I washed and waxed on the weekend and decided to swap my 19" tyres for 18" that have been sitting in the garage for a while with a new set of rubber. I think the 18" really compliment the silverstone II especially with the gun metal finish. I thought to share some pics of the car with the community I shared the first photos with when I bought the car home on 27 November 2007. Enjoy the pics

Looks just as nice as when she was new, yes our Bimmer's are timeless I still get a fussy kind of feeling when I see a e46 ... saw one last week in red mine was silver with 19 inch 220m wheels back then
enjoy her for more years for she indeed is timeless

I still regret getting rid of my E46 ///3 ... that's not to say I don't enjoy my E92. Somehow, I was emotionally attached to that car. May be because it was my first /// car. Also I felt I didn't explore the true potential of that car. Driving daily to work and back and a couple of track days in the six years of ownership.
I plan to keep the E92 for a long time. I don't think I can afford the new one. Priorities in life have changed with a daughter coming along since I bought the E92.

OP, I am very happy that you have a great looking M for so long. My wife does not understand when I tell her that I will own the car for at least 10+ yrs or more.
I can't imagine anything else that I can do all the things with and not be an M.

That's factory. The driver's side is normal. This is a right hand drive car.
Guys, thank you for the compliments. You can easily keep this car for 10-15 years and will still remain a timeless design just like the E36 and E46 ///3's. The car is always garaged except for when it's out and about. So cleaning and maintaining is easy. In my first two years of ownership I washed and cleaned the car every other week. These days, once in 3-4 months I give it a good wash and wax. It's still a head-turner here, and people keep starring at it. Also the number plate attracts a lot of attention. Here is a picture the day I brought the car home for the first time in 2007:
