Is this a fair deal? (2009 M3 Coupe)
Hi,
Guys, this will be my first M3 (and first large $$$ car purchase), so I'm a bit nervous. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on what I'm looking at. It's a 2009 M3 coupe, jet black w/black interior, it has the 7 speed DCT, premium and cold weather packages, Nav., technology package, etc., and 26k miles. It has the factory warranty until the end of 2013. The asking price from the dealer WAS $52,500. They came down to $50k even. It's a one owner car in fantastic condition. When I checked the KBB value, I think it was right around $51k. But still, based on what I've told you, what do you guys think?? The car is at Motorcars of GA, which is an Aston Martin and Lambo dealer, and they also sell used BMW's, Audi, Porsche, etc. So it's a legit dealer, just not a genuine BMW facility. Thanks so much for any advice! Last edited by tps7c; 06-14-2012 at 12:38 AM.. |

Its not a very good deal. Maybe its okay for a dealer. Look in the "What did you pay for your used M3 thread?" Its great this forum shares this information. It made buying my car 1000x easier.
I purchased my 09 private party a year ago with 13k miles, DCT, tech, etc with an extended BMW warranty and maintenance for about the same price as yours. This was in CA too. I would say I got a good deal but it could definitely be replicated. Need to be patient. |

If you can snake it for $47k - $48k I would do it. Get the extended warranty too.

i don't think that deal is that bad... but the right number should have a '4' in front. i can see you getting it around $49k. that would be decent.

Eric - thanks SO much for that offer man!! But the place is almost an hour from you, down near Roswell/Dunwoody. Do you work down that way by chance??
Thanks for the advice everyone!! I really appreciate it. I'm going to try and get them to come down a bit more, based on what you all have told me. This is a great forum! |

If the car is "pristine" (as its ad indicates) and if it has a documented service history, then the $50k price is reasonable, in my estimation.

I got my 09 E90 w/ 4k miles in 2010 for 54K. I have every option except extended leather.
Like everyone said, with 26K miles and being almost 3 yrs old, a fair price would be some where in the range of 46-48K. |
