Delivery guy(s) stole my stuff!?
So, I had 4 wheels just outside my front door (not visible from street view, you have to come around to the front door area to see it) packaged and waiting for the courier to pick up as I had to pop out. I come back about 40 minutes later and they're gone, but in its place are:
1. an express post parcel; and 2. a bunch of flowers that I had ordered for Mother's Day. I am guessing one of the delivery guys stole my wheels since they would have a van and can easily load them and drive away. Can't believe how dishonest some people are. Anyway, hopefully my home contents insurance will cover it. /end rant |

Check with Australia Post or your courier. They may use the same contractor, especially one in your local area. He may have delivered your stuff and picked up the wheels to be couriered??

Couriers Please said they hadn't picked it up as instructions were not actually released to their driver at the time. I cancelled and they refunded my booking at least... |

sorry to hear mate. report your suspicion to Australia Post. doubt you would be able to prove it but it would at least flag the contractor to Australia Post.

Superdaws is right, report it to the cops and request an event number, your taxes pay for their service so you might as well use them.

Cops came around last night and then they sent forensics unit out this morning (not sure why). They spoke with the neighbours and will follow up with Aus Post etc.
I doubt that anything will come out of the investigation, but good news is my insurance has accepted the claim!

Nice at least the insurance has done its part, it wouldve been hard for them to get out of it with a police report on the table...

Nah mate, excess was $300 - "spare parts and accessories" are capped at $500 under my policy as it's not covered under "contents" which must be household domestic items. Oh well, lesson learned - never do unattended pickup again on items!
