Initial thoughts are that it looks too much like a 3 series to me. Headlights look good. Love or hate the 1 series, I think it is at least unique to the rest of the range. I'm not bagging it yet, just in case I end up buying one |

The 2 series is a perfect size, proportions and looks beautiful! Glad bmw are trying to get back a consistency with headlight design language similar to the f30. The mishmash of designs these last couple of years has been chaotic. Mazda can't be beat when it comes to design consistency.

To confuse things there's the 2GT tourer thing, with 4 doors, as well a 4 series version iirc.

Bit over-styled IMO. Too many curves, swoops and lines on the sides-- the designers should have put the pen down earlier.

I suspect that any forthcoming 228i coupe could be an interesting car. If the weight is kept down, it will probably have a performance close to the current/ outgoing 135i. I'm basing this on the fact that the current 328i sedan is quoted at 5.9 secs to 100 km/h.

i can't say i prefer it to the E82, though the E82 has had a long time to grow on me.. it just looks like an E92 to me -and it's obviously a lot larger than the E82..
an updated E92 more accurately., it doesn't have 'small coupe' lines to it at all? |

Yep I've also thought it looks very much like a smaller E92. Looks good, but less distinctive to the current E82. I would love to see the M2 (with hopefully with no development time restrictions this time)

IMO if it looks E92ish that's great, the E92 is the best resolved/looking car made by BMW to date . Just my 2c.

but i mean in SIZE it looks a lot BIGGER than the E82 i hope the M2 takes styling cues from the 1M... because the 1M is a stunning car i'll reserve final judgement for when lips/ducktails/etc. etc. are released for it oh and after someone slams it if not bags :P |
