Hi Lester,
Same thing happened to me on the weekend. Car went into limp mode. Hearing all the bad stories, I left the car running and drove it home slowly in limp mode. Got home, pulled out the OBD2 adapter and used Torque (Android) to find it was a misfire. Restarted the car and the CEL light was off the car out of limp mode. After a quick search, it looks like common causes are: spark plugs, injectors and HPFP. If it comes up again, I'm going to start with the spark plugs. Only had the car for 2 months Hope yours is easy to solve! |

Check engine light, there are 100s of codes that can set it off. On my moms car I blew the HPFP on the drag strip, you will notice restarting it turns the light off until you start driving and it senses another missfire.
