Best girlfriend!
So I've been itching to mod my N54 135i for a few months now and my birthday was just over a month ago. My gf took me out for an amazing night out and dinner which was really generous of her. Skip forward to 30min ago...she surprised me once again with a belated bday present which had been on order for slightly over a month.
I'm so stoked to finally get my hands on the Cobb AP V3! |

I've been modding German cars for approx 15 years, this is my first BMW purchase and until now I hadn't known of Cobb AP.
And further more if you had owned a 2012/2013 N55 135i Cobb AP wouldn't work. Did she really work all this out on her own??

It's not too hard. Probably email the guys in the States before purchase and they ask her for the car year model and model number. Standard procedure whenever I purchase car parts off the net.

^^Thats not true. You just need to make sure your SW version is one in which Cobb has a map for. Some of the early (N55 cars) will need a SW update in order for the Cobb app to work.

I made inquiries at the time of purchase and Cobb didn't support my DME, also nor does their website suggest they support 2012/2013... am I missing something? all this innuendo supports my original point

Yep she worked it out on her own. She's pretty resourceful when it comes to research. She also mentioned she had some great help from Chris at XTR who confirmed it would work on my car.
I've been teaching my gf over the past few months between the difference between n54 and n55 engines etc. So all she really needed to know was that my car was a 2008 aus delivered N54. |
