Which Cobb Stage?
2010 N54 completely stock/DD.
My intentions are to build in stages. 1st stage with AFE sealed intake and chargepipe. 2nd stage with FMIC and downpipes. Which Cobb stage/tune map would be most appropriate? Are my build stages reasonable?

I am not sure what version of software your ECU is running but I am on IJEOS and as such here are the maps for my car. The charts are universal though: http://www.cobbtuning.com/Accessport...maps/bmw/IJE0S
For your purposes: stage 1 sport until you finish that mod list, then stage 2+ |

then FMIC and charge pipe. For stock start with stage 1 drive. Do a few logs see how the car responds if everything looks fine go to stage 1 sport. If the car is reacting fine and you want more power then increase to stage 1 aggressive. After you put the first batch of mods(DCI and DP) go to stage 2 and do the same thing. After the FMIC stage 2+ . If you have any more questions please pm me. For help with logs pm marc@x-ph.com

For stage 1 drive maps, what are the benefits running a linear throttle? I ask this because i see a stock throttle map (ST drive) and a linear throttle map (LT drive). Reason for using ST- versus LT-specific mapping?
I've been reading a lot reviews on the sport maps, but i don't want to jump the gun too soon, and want to feel the specific maps. Then again, go straight to sport? ST or LT?

ST is more aggressive. I'd have to open ATR to remember but basically throttle is not a linear function of pedal. Our cars stock are ST and not linear. Which one to choose? Up to you, try them both and choose the one that suit you better. Power output is the same within a stage( stage1 agg ST = stage1 agg LT in terms of power) |
