Flame, Aluminum Foil, Can-O-Air
Has anyone tried this method to get dents out of your car? The theory is that you put aluminum foil over the dent and then put a flame to the area for 30 or so seconds. The aluminum foil protects the paint from the flame while still allowing for the metal to heat up. Then you spray the dent directly with the can-o-air and supposedly the dent should pop out. I have a dent a little larger than a quarter on my car and I have no clue where it came from.

Ehh...Aluminum foil or no aluminum foil, I wouldn't put a flame to my car. The heat transfer coefficient of aluminum is high enough that you still risk burning your paint.

Contact a (PDR) Paintless Dent Repair Professional to repair your dents...do not use the methods you've mentioned. The key to these repairs in starting the 1st push at the exact center of the dent and so on. It is an art, not something that can be done without the proper stainless steel rods. The only types of dents that have a chance to be glue-pulled with a special slide tool would be along the top drip rail from the A-pillar to the C-pillar. Contact Ryan Nichols at Xtreme PDR in Frisco (972) 731-8333, tell them that Brian Day sent you.

Shit didn't work at all. I used a hair dyer for about a minute then used can-o-air for about 30 seconds and nothing happened. I've been in contact with a PDR guy.
On a side note, I got a chip in my windshield taken care of over the holiday, for free!!!! |
