Europe has some
Use youtube for 125i or 135i(slight mod needed to mate them to 128i). Hartage diffuser is a quad

I'm confused, why would anyone want a quad exhaust on an N52 when they could have a real performance exhaust for less? Wouldn't look as cool but at least some real hp gains could be had. Is it mainly for looks?

Sure, no worries. That's what confused me since a quad exhaust isn't necessarily a performance exhaust, well at least not just because it's a quad exhaust anyway. It is on an M3 or an M5 I guess but the key to performance is backpressure and all these exhaust systems have mufflers so they produce backpressure that _can_ reduce performance.
Without headers and the appropriate tune to allow them to work an exhaust in and of itself isn't really going to produce much in the way of extra power, imho. Race cars for example don't have mufflers unless there are sound restrictions at a particular track. There's a reason for that and it's a weight issue so race mufflers are very light compared to alternatives but not necessarily as or more expensive. There are exhausts that do produce performance gains but they're not flashy or cool looking at all. A straight pipe _of the correct diameter_ with a Coast Fabrication muffler will produce the least backpressure and depending on the rest of the powertrain allow it to develop more power. They have some info on their site with a couple of pdf downloads. It'll be louder than a typical "performance" exhaust but it is possible to add two mufflers in series without generating anywhere near the backpressure of a typical street muffler. I think Magnaflow has some mufflers of this type but I couldn't tell you which is better. The Coast Fabrication mufflers need to be repacked as a matter of maintenance unless spending a lot more for different packing materials as an option they make available. This is the exhaust I'm having built, using thinwall 304 stainless tubing cut and welded rather than bent, since everything other than cams has been optimized. I'm having it built with the V-bands so it's easy to repack, which the shop does yearly as a twenty minute service item. Pretty sure even a balls-out 328i won't need repacking more often than that, no matter how many trackdays it sees. It's expensive but not crazy expensive. It would otherwise have a single 2.5" or 3" (I think) tip at the end but I'm having it built to look like the dual tip on the BMW Performance exhaust so it looks stock. Kinda lame to me to have a non-328i exhaust on a 328i. Not a universal sentiment obviously and nothing wrong with it if that's what blows yer dress up...
