I had a bunch of white SMD LEDs laying around from a swap in my old E90 so I used those. You can easily find them in bulk on eBay for a couple bucks.

You can use a trim removal tool to pop the USB/12V socket out of the center console.

Halogen Bulbs
I replaced the old Halogens with new philips-x-treme vision headlights halogen bulb in both high and low beam positions.
Huge difference. No idea how old the old bulbs were but the high beams were blue tinted and newer than the low beams which had smoky haze on the inside of the bulb. The new bulbs are a "just right" level of white/vs warm with no blue tint. The headlights are actually pretty good now. I also replaced the parking lamp bulbs that sit in the high beam lamp reflector with Sylvania ZEVO 2825 LED lamps. Light is fine. Triggers bulb out and I can't seem to code it out with Carly. Don't want to cut and add resistors and can't use plug in leads so back to Halogens for those.

The USB port in the center console should provide power. It does on mine, and I use the Firefly like you do. I'm happy with it. My Samsung S7 has a notoriously weak headphone jack, so I prefer to connect via Bluetooth.

These are almost done! Just have to be sealed up and shipped to me. Very very happy with the work that Rush Customs did. I got updates every step of the way including testing colors for different parts. The chasing RGB 3/4 DTM halos can be controlled via a Bluetooth app. I can't wait to get these installed

Is the red eyebrow strip on the outside so you can, inevitably, change colors again?

Got bored yesterday and decided to try out some F11 Top Coat polish and sealer that my buddy gave me a while back. I have to say, I'm impressed with how well it performs for a 2 in 1 type product; Water is beading nicely, the jet black paint has way more depth, and it looks to have removed some of the light water spots I had on the roof.
I figured this will hold me off until I have the time (and place) to do a full correction and ceramic coating. I live in an apartment and haven't figured out a way to polish my car in the parking garage yet, so anything in a bottle that I can spray on without power tools, will have to do for the time being. Here are some pics: Last edited by Jordan's World; 11-17-2019 at 11:52 AM.. |

Took the carbon steering wheel out of my 128i & I talked it on the 135i & warped the original trim of the 128i in mate black, since it was peeling off.
