Did you drill into the metal and use a rivnut? I'm hesitant to do so with the gas tank being behind there.

The arrow in the picture. I believe that portion of the car is like a boxed metal reinforcement. You can kind of see it in the picture. As for the lower hole. I remember taking the mount apart and just using the foot as a template. There is a bit of a void between the tank and that upright piece of metal. Car stays at the track and if I would have seen this I could have crawled under there for a look.
You can feel around with your fingers a bit to get the layout. I think from the photos I laid out some tape to mark it. Will keep looking

Both cars performed as they should. Driver, not so much! Had a great time and need to get used to no brake booster on the GT4. Student got a ride in the BMW and all went well. Temps were a bit higher than last week and I took note but still about 20 degrees lower than the all time highs so I can live with that.

Got to track both cars last week. BMW at Roebling and the other car with NASA at CMP. While the Bimmer still has almost every warning light on the dash illuminated, most are a big nothing. I don't know if I am happy with the gearing. When I bought the LSD I went conservative on the ratio as I thought you would make some of the gearing useless with the 7 speed and I did not want to deal with a bunch of electronics tuning to get the parts to play well with each other. Lack of interface is what caused me to abandoned my e36 dct build. Overall I am pleased with how the car has progress as it is a great car for guest drivers as well as taking people for rides. Starting to look towards project for the summer aand hope to gut the driver side headlight to make a cold air intake and seal off the flow of air at the top of the radiator.

I wimped out and went 3.08 but probably should have gone to at least 3.46 at a minimum. Might reload over the winter but the other car scratches that itch.

Interesting...I got a 2.73 for my LS swapped 135i DCT. Now I might switch it up to something else.

I can't even explain why I chose what I did at the time. I think I was worried about the ecu and gearbox controls not working well together. I would say that it could be something else that my limited intelligence has not figured out but the car just feels slow and I did not run out of gear on Roebling's long front straight, which is the biggest indicator I screwed up. Last car I tried 4 different ratios before I got what I thought was the right fit. Could be completely wrong but my thought are if you are not getting to the chip, you either lack gearing or hp. Will continue to work on it as the car is fun to drive!
