Volk TE37SL 18 inch rubbing problem
I just got the Volk Racing TE37SL's in the same fitment as M3's
Front 18 x 9.5 +22mm Rear 18 x 10.5 +20mm Tires: Goodyear Asymmetric 2 (I wanted PSS but they don't import the rear size) 265/35/18 285/35/18 This is the suggested rim/tire sizing setup for M3's. I am wondering what is wrong with the setup as I have rubbing in the fronts at about 85% steering lock. Should I have gone 255's in the front instead?? (My suspension is completely stock at the moment) Last edited by Aqua; 02-07-2013 at 08:07 AM.. |

Check your in front wheel well liners - there have been reports of them rubbing, and subsequently being replaced via dealer for free with revised part numbers.
Pls report back where your front wheels are rubbing. If the liner, then perhaps you've got a simple fix... |

I put on some R-S3 265/35/18 on some HRE R43 9.5x18et25 on last night. I will test my tire rub on lock with the revised fender liners and let u know if they cure it.

I haven't changed to the revised fender liner yet, but here are pics of the wheels and where the rubbing is occurring inside the wheel wells.
The left side seems to be rubbing more than the right... |

I don't think anyone so far has reported their cars coming with the revised liners. BMW initially was replacing liners with the same part but later did a revision to the part. |

but another guy who previously had the exactly same wheels said there wasnt any rubbing issue at all, also at another 1m
volk racing te37sl 18x9.5 et22 wrapped with hankook ventus v12 evo 265/35/18 its a square set up, will changing the front tires help? thats how pretty much it looked like in the previous 1m, soon im going to put it on my 1m, of course if there is no rubbing issue. and if i have to change tires what tyres size will be safe? If you were lowered and went with this setup:
* Volk Racing TE37SL Diamond Black (CUSTOM COLOR) * Wheel 18X9.5 5X120 +22mm (Front) & 18X10.5 5X120 +20mm (Rear) * Tires Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 265/35/18 & 285/35/18 Could you avoid rubbing by getting 255 in front and 275 in the back? |

carlosii. said before that he went with this set up and rub on the front (little rub) but the previous owner (the white 1m in the pic) said there was no rub at all "plug-and-play" |
