128i vs. 135i
I can't really tell the difference in exterior looks between them. Doesn't the 135i have a more aggressive body kit or something? Sorry, I'm a big newb.

The 135i has twin turbos. Thats big one. Others are standard xenons, standard sunroof, standard sport suspension, etc...
A 128i has a less agressive body kit but an M Sport 128i will have the same body kit as a 135i. Those are the differences I can think of. |

Notice the front bumper is totally different, as well as the back bumper (which on the 135i has a diffuser at the bottom). That's it visually really, everything else can be matched up with options.

there are a handful of ditzel options that the 135i has std. (adaptive lights, sunroof, etc). The 128i doesnt have the option for the m sport steering wheel, at least from what i know. Also sounds like the 135i comes std with HPFP issues..ahahahaha, just kidding. I dont even have mine yet to determine that!

The biggest differences between 135i and 128i M sport that you can spot are much larger brakes and black tailpipes on the 135i. Among others the kidneys are different and I think only 135i gets the rear spoiler.

In the Aussie spec 125i sport v 135i sport (standard) the key differences are only the badge on the back and the black exhaust tips on the 135i.

Thanks very much for the help everyone. i can barely afford a bare bones 128i, so i can't do the 135i although it looks better.

I'm very happy with my 128i convertible (e88). The 135i was fun at the Performance Center when I took delivery but the extra speed capability on the street seems unnecessary to me. The 128i is not slow, just slower than the 135i. With a manual, the 128 transmission may be better in terms of shifting smoothly than the 135i. The 135 automatic seems better than the 128i auto, however. 135 uses a ZF both for automatic and manual and 128 has a getrag manual or a GM automatic.
