New JB3 Owner, Pics!

I have followed the jb3 for years before I bought one, drooling over the reviews of others who had it. Knowing one day I too, would be juiced... Today my friends, I am among you.

So I knew I would be going faster, but WOW, this is crazy fast now (and I'm only using Map3). No codes, No regrets, No slow.

Even though I bought this used, I would like to officially thank Terry for making this. Install was intimidating but just follow the steps/ video and it was easy!

Here are a few pictures of the install...

My Tools:

The Breakdown

Should I cut the red one, or the blue one?

Almost Juiced

I have the USB cable installed on the JB3, Here is where I ran the the cable out of the ECU box. On the passenger side of the box there is an rubber seal that holds the exit wiring. Lift that up and place the usb wire at the base, and re-insert the seal.

Done...

I recommend doing one subconnector at a time. Especially when going back to stock. the JB3 harness is very nice and color coordinates each side. Stock uses White / Black on one side and grey and white on another. Using one side at a time eliminates the risk of messing up. I'm saying this from experience when i was removing the JB3 and spent an hour trying to figure out why my car wasn't starting :P

I came to the same conclusion after removing all 4 sub connectors. I got nervous for a few seconds when I realized what I had done. Referred to the manual to connect correctly. I'll do 1 sub connector at a time all future work.

Congrats! Did you run the USB cable through the firewall and into the glove box?

No, I tucked it next to the ecu box. I havent run it into the car yet. I'm not going to custom tune, but I would like to make some logs before and after my FMIC install. I'll prob just run it through the window.

Nice! I'm on map3 too. Huge difference from the JB+ I had prior. Once it gets cooler out I'm gunna test out map5. I almost bit on that intercooler group buy, but I might get a Stett BOV kit instead. Decisions, decisions.
